Kensington and Chelsea Talking Therapies are part of the national NHS ‘Improving Access to Psychological Therapies’ (IAPT) service within the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As part of the Community Living Well service, we provide a range of talking therapies for people who feel anxious and worried or down and depressed.

If you think you might be anxious or depressed, then you can refer yourself by giving us a call, sending us an email, or using our online self-referral form. Or if you prefer, you can ask your GP, or any health professional, about the service and they can refer you to us. If English is not your first language we will provide interpreters, including British Sign Language interpreters for all your appointments.

Read more about self-referring to our service below, or to go straight to the Kensington and Chelsea self-referral form by clicking the self referral button at the top of this page.

Self-referring into Kensington and Chelsea Talking Therapies service

We accept referrals from members of the public and from NHS staff.

Self-referring if you are a member of the public: The first thing to do is to make sure that you are registered with a GP in the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (or in the Queens Park and Paddington area of Westminster). Then, complete the short questionnaire below. If your total score is more than 3, you may benefit from talking therapies. You can self-refer to our services by clicking the self-refer button at the top of this page.

Self-referring if you are an NHS member of staff: If you are a CNWL or NHS Staff member and would like to self-refer, please self-refer through the borough in which you work and indicate clearly that you are CNWL or NHS staff in the referral. If you do not live or work or have a GP in a CNWL borough, you can refer yourself to any of our services.

In order to be eligible for the Kensington and Chelsea service, you must be registered with a Kensington and Chelsea GP (regardless of whether you live in the borough or not).

In order to find out if you are registered with a Kensington and Chelsea GP, please use this link to find a Talking Therapies service and then enter your GP practice details. If you do not have a Kensington and Chelsea GP, please use the above link to find your local Talking Therapies service and get in touch with them for more information.

Our Talking Therapies Services are not able to provide immediate support in an emergency.
