Wellness in Work – An Employment Advisory Service for Talking Therapies patients/ service users.

Anyone currently engaged with a CNWL Talking Therapies service has the opportunity to access the ‘Wellness in Work’ employment service, which provides help and support for participants to return to, remain in or find sustainable employment. Shaw Trust delivers the service in partnership with SMART London and Twining Enterprise.

What’s involved?

Employment Advisors arrange to meet you following your expression of interest at assessment or during treatment in your local Talking Therapies service. This will be an opportunity for us to assess your situation and offer you help with a wide range of options, including: 

  • Assessment of your current work or vocational situation, including wellbeing.
  • Offer one to one practical information, advice and guidance.
  • Assistance with writing to employers or advocating on your behalf, as participants, and with your consent.
  • Signposting to other useful services.

Who does the service support?

  • Those looking for new employment.
  • Individuals who are aiming to sustain employment but require support i.e., workplace adjustments.
  • Those who are returning to work after being off on long-term sick leave.
  • People experiencing risk of redundancy.
  • Those who are undergoing employment loss due to performance/long term sickness.

The service offers many benefits, including:

  • Confidence building.
  • Support with training and Further Education.
  • Signposting around financial and housing support issues.

Please note: Anyone wishing to access the employment advisory service must have been assessed by Talking Therapies and either be receiving Talking Therapies support, or waiting for support to begin.
