Being referred to the service
There are many ways in which you can be referred to the Harrow Talking Therapies Service (IAPT). You can be referred by your GP or other Health Professional, and you can also refer yourself online.
In order to be eligible for the Harrow service, you must be registered with a Harrow GP (regardless of whether you live in Harrow or not). In order to find out if you are registered with a Harrow GP, please use this link: beta.nhs.uk/find-a-psychological-therapies-service and then enter your GP practice details. If you do not have a Harrow GP, please use the above link to find your local Talking Therapies service and get in touch with them for more information.
Our Talking Therapies Services are not able to provide immediate support in an emergency. If you require immediate help please contact your GP, or your local Accident & Emergency Department, or call the Urgent Advice Line on 0800 0234 650 open 24 hours. Self-referring
The first thing to do is to make sure that you are registered with a GP in the Borough of Harrow.
The next thing to do is to complete the short questionnaire below to check if this service is appropriate for you. If you score more than 3 then you may benefit from talking therapies. You can contact your GP or Health Worker or you can refer yourself to the Harrow Talking Therapies Service (IAPT) by clicking on the “Harrow referral form” button below.
